Birmingham Half Marathon

So, last year a family member was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I felt compelled to raise some money.

What better way to do this than running a half marathon! So I signed up and had roughly 1 year to train and raise funds.

The weekend of the big run came around so quick, but I felt ready for it and the money I had raised was spurring me on!

I was aiming for a time of under 2 hours and I finished in …… 1:53!

Here’s a shot of me at the finish line, looking a little tired I must admit:

I was really happy with my time and in total I have raised £490! Way above me expectations.

Knowing that money is going to help fund more research into pancreatic cancer is an amazing feeling!
