Ever feel like your garage isn’t being used to it’s full potential? It’s so often the case that things are dumped in garages and they become full of random items rather than being put to good use.
Well there are so many different uses and I’m going to share some ideas with you today, in the hope that I’ll inspire you to take action!
An Extra Bedroom
A simple idea really but one that will add a lot of value to your house. Converting your garage into a bedroom will also provide extra space for your family.
I’ve got three children with my wife and whilst they are still young and happy to share a room, as they get older I know for sure they’ll want their own space. That’s when an extra bedroom will really come in handy further down the line!
Or it can simply be used as a guest room for whenever a friend or relative is visiting.
A Home Office
Being a dad to three children, the house can get pretty manic at times and I currently don’t have any dedicated office space.
Converting your garage into an office will provide you with your own space in which you can really focus on your work by minimising the distractions.
I’m always conscious of people staring at me whilst working out in the gym. It can be a daunting experience for most people.
So why not create your own gym at home! It offers the ideal environment to really relax and enjoy your workout. The equipment may be expensive at first but you’ll be saving money in the long run by not paying a gym membership and you’ve got the added bonus of not having to travel!
A Games Room
This one’s more for the gamer’s amongst us. I’m always up for a game of FIFA with my friends and what better way to kick back and relax than in your very own games room!
It doesn’t have to be all about the adults though, why not install a Wii console with some family games that the whole family can enjoy. I’m sure a games room would provide hours of fun for you and your family!
A Utility Room
A slightly less exciting use of your garage but nonetheless a definite consideration!
Turning your garage into a utility room would offer the benefit of being able to segregate the washer and dryer from your kitchen along with providing much more storage space.
