4 Tips for Beating Fatigue as a Working Parent

Bringing up a child is one of the most special experiences you’ll ever encounter. However, when you have a full-time job to balance alongside parenting, it can become extremely tiring.

Get energised

You don’t have to take time out of your day to get the blood pumping if you’re short on time. You could coincide it with your parenting duties. It could be as simple as walking your child to school or spending time after work playing with them in the garden. 

Think of this minimal exercise as a small investment of time in your day. Over time, you’ll start to notice an improvement both in your energy and mindset.

Be prepared

With juggling demands at work and making sure the kids are prepared for the next day for school, the amount of stress you’re dealing with might have an impact on your sleep patterns. It would be wise to try and get everything ready for your kids the night before or teach them a routine of how they can prepare themselves to take the pressure off you. 

If you’re not getting enough sleep each night, which is recommended to be between 7-9 hours per night, it’s bound to take its toll on you and cause you to feel extremely fatigued.
