Rewarding jobs for dads you’ve not thought of

Being the main breadwinner in the family is, traditionally, on the dad’s head. But in 2022, things are changing and the pressure for a father to provide the sole – or most – income for a family is changing. Fathers looking to change their careers have lots more freedom and plenty more options than they’ve typically had. A lot of fathers also want to change careers to spend more time with their family, so are looking at remote options. So, which rewarding jobs are ideal for dads in 2022?

Customer service

Gone are the days where customer service teams and companies were all housed in the same loud building, packed with people talking on phones all day long.

The pandemic has introduced a new way of working to so many industries, and customer service has jumped on the trend of remote working. Customer service can be an easy-going job for a father with limited time, and with the option to work from home providing a bonus factor.

There can be difficult customers from time to time, but in general, the role can be quite rewarding as you can help people solve problems.

Teaching assistant

Jobs for teaching assistants are usually associated with women and mothers, but forget that. Dads can do it too.

One of the most rewarding jobs possible, a teaching assistant can provide brilliant support to teachers and extra educational and emotional support to children of all ages. Playing a major role in the success story of a child’s education is such a rewarding experience.

The hours and holidays are very sociable too with the ability to finish work at the end of the school day (3pm), and 12 weeks of holidays throughout the calendar year.

Blogger

Another job that can be done from the comfort of home, with freedom of hours, and the ability to be your own boss, is a blogger. Running a successful blog can produce steady income every month through advertising, affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, and even by selling your own physical products, via Indeed.

The freedom around writing posts and running a blog makes for a perfect stay-at-home job for dads. It can also be a job on the side for a little bit of extra income.

Just find the niche you’d like to write about, keep up with consistent posts and watch it soar!

Online teacher

Staying on the remote working theme, another job to consider for dads is an online teacher. A lot of the working world can now be done online and from home, and education is the same. Universities and colleges now offer online courses, giving people like you the chance to educate the youth of today from the comfort of your own home.

You’ll likely need experience in teaching in order to run courses and classes online, and the responsibilities are the same as a teacher. You will still be expected to plan lessons, create assignments and mark work, but all from the comfort of your own home.

The world is your oyster. If you’re a father and want a job that suits your needs and schedule, it’s out there so go and grab it!
