  • The loft conversion plan does not include balconies, terraces, or raised platforms.
  • The loft conversion does not exceed the highest portion of the roof.
  • The materials used in revamping the loft are similar to the ones used in building the rest of the house.
  • The side-facing windows are less transparent or textured (obscure-glazed) so people cannot see in and out.

On the contrary, an outline planning permission application includes fewer details and often gets accepted quickly. However, the cost of both the planning permission applications is fairly higher in Wales, around £460.
