3 Reasons Lots Of Small Business Owners Are Moving To The UAE

The UAE has undergone one of the most drastic transformations over the last few decades. From an empty area, this country has bloomed and blossomed into one of the most luxurious places on earth. As a result, we’re seeing more and more small business owners moving over to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, hoping to set up shop there.

Already, the process of moving across to the UAE isn’t too challenging. The immigration and visa requirements are fairly straightforward as they welcome people coming over to start businesses or look for work. You typically only need a MOFA Attestation to support your application, and you’re good to go.

But, why are small business owners moving here? What are the benefits of working in the UAE?

Tax-free zones

There are 38 free zones in the UAE, which basically let you operate a business without paying tax. If you start a company in any of these zones, you receive a corporate tax exemption for the next 50 years. So, it’s pretty clear to see why so many people are travelling over there to start up small businesses. Think of the earnings potential when you don’t have to pay tax on your profits – it’s crazy!

A massive talent pool

Another benefit of operating a business in the UAE is that it has one of the biggest and most diverse talent pools in the world. Loads of people emigrate here because of the job opportunities and amazing wages. Consequently, you have a combination of local talent and international talent. It means that it’s super easy to hire people for jobs and you usually see some of the most talented individuals in your industry working here. Obviously, this benefits your business, but the fact that there’s so much international talent also makes it easy to find English-speaking workers. This can often be a challenge in other countries that might have great tax exemptions and talent pools.

It is so easy to start a business

If you look at the rise of the UAE in the last few decades, one thing is very evident. The country has experienced this transformation because it actively helps people start businesses. Did you know that you could move to Dubai and start a business in around a month? This is because the government regulations and policies are all built around supporting business owners. They have lots of rules that make it easy for you to set up a company and start making money.

Clearly, there are many reasons to consider starting a business in this country. However, does that mean this is something you should definitely do? Well, it all depends on your business and the opportunities presented to you at home. Does it look like you will enjoy more success by moving overseas and starting your business in the UAE? For some of you, the answer will be a resounding yes. For others, you might not see any difference, and it could be better to stay at home with your settled family. As always, weigh up the pros and cons before making a decision.
