Top Tips to Save Time in Your Life 

Time is not an infinite resource, no matter how much we wish this was true. If we could all stop the clock for a couple of hours a day, it would be far easier to get everything done! However, science has not advanced that far, so here we are still trying to manage.

There are so many responsibilities that sometimes the time we set aside for fun and to relax often gets interrupted or taken away from us instead.

1) Track Your Time 

Time can get away from us if we do not have an idea about what we would like to do with it for the day. It is far too easy to begin doom scrolling on our phones when we have a second to ourselves when the kids are at school, and before you know it, it is time to pick them up, and you have not done anything you set out to do. We all need time to ourselves, but wouldn’t it be nice if we knew what we wanted to do with that time so we could enjoy it? Time blocking is a great way to make the most out of your day because you can see exactly what you are going to be doing at any time. It can be moved around to suit you but will also hold you accountable if you are thinking about watching Netflix for just that little longer. Instead of approaching every day thinking you have a huge amount of tasks to complete, time blocking allows you to color-code and allocate specific chunks of time to particular activities, making it seem quicker, and in reality, more fun. 

2) Do One Thing at A Time

It can be so easy to get roped into procrastinating or multitasking when you do not have lots of time on your hands, but trying to do a bunch of tasks at once usually just leaves lots of tasks unfinished. By focusing on one thing at a time, you can give it your full attention and get it done without distractions, which can obviously cost you more precious minutes!

3) Get Organised 

Being organised is sometimes half of the battle when you want to maximise and save time. If you end up spending a bunch of time faffing around trying to find things you need, making food when you have run out of time, or putting together things for an outing, then getting organised will help change your life.
