Simple Ways to De-Stress When You’re Busy all the Time

If you feel constantly busy and stressed, then you might not feel as though you have a ton of time to fit some stress-relieving activities into your schedule. You may even end up feeling tired, lethargic and overwhelmed too. If this sounds like you then there are a few things that you can do to try and help yourself.

Caffeine Intake

If you are one of those people who like to grab a coffee or even a cola when you need a bit more energy, then you may actually be making yourself way more tired in the long-run. Caffeine can increase the stress response you have, and it can also stop you from getting sleep at night too. This creates a cycle of sleep deprivation and it is the last thing that you need when you already have so much going on.

Get More Sleep

When you have a super busy schedule, you may find that sleep is the first thing that you cut back on. You may do this intentionally or you may even do this by default. This is very unfortunate as it can leave you feeling lethargic and it can also lead to errors too. If you want to stop this from happening then it helps to make sure that you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep, every single night. If you don’t then you may not be doing yourself any favours and you might also end up feeling worse. Of course, if you are unable to sleep at night for any reason then it’s a good idea for you to relax right before you go to bed. Put down your phone and also make the effort to eliminate any distractions.

Exercise

If you are feeling lethargic then a bit of exercise can actually help you to feel more energised. Busy people often have a very hard time fitting exercise into their schedule and this is understandable, but there are a few things that you can do to get the exercise you need without having to worry about a thing. The first thing that you need to do is get up early in the morning or even take the stairs to your office instead of catching a lift. When you do, you can easily help yourself to get a bit more energised.

Can-Do Attitude

A lot of your stress will often come from the way that you deal with certain situations. If you allow yourself to panic about every missed deadline or even any situation that goes wrong in general, then this won’t be helping you at all. Instead, you need to develop a can-do attitude instead. Think about the ways that you are able to do things, and find solutions all the time. When you do this, you will be able to support yourself much more and you will also be able to have a much better attitude towards anything that comes your way.

Make Time for Yourself

It’s so important that you are able to make time for yourself. If you don’t then you might feel as though you never get to relax, and this won’t be doing you any favours at all. So watch a movie at the end of a long night, run a bath or even try and spend some time just reading a book. Either way, it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you are doing something peaceful that removes you from a stressful situation. If you are unable to de-stress because you can’t stop thinking about anything then try and take some CBD oil to see if that helps. It’s great for anxiety and you may even find that your stress levels plummet when you give it a go.

Learn how to Say No

If you are one of those people who are constantly being relied on by their boss, then you might find that you feel busy regardless of your circumstance. You may find that people burden you with their own responsibilities and this is the last thing that you need when you are already feeling so overwhelmed. The best way for you to try and deal with this would be for you to learn how to say no. You need to make sure that you are understanding of your limits and that you don’t let people push you around.

So even if you’re busy, it’s still important that you make time for yourself so that you can feel better and more energised throughout the day.
